Sunday I ran in my first race ever, the White Rock Half Marathon. Now, I'm officially addicted and will be running in many many more. It was probably the greatest thing I've experienced in Dallas. It's amazing how people will stand out in their yards and on street corners just to tell you to keep going, and that you're doing a great job. I ran by myself, but I knew the whole time that my mom, and some dear friends were waiting for me at the end.
When I finally found Lindsey, Caleb, and Manes - I basically turned around and they were just there in front of me - Lindsey screamed, and they all tackled me up in the biggest and greatest hug ever, that lasted 2 or 3 seconds longer than it rightfully should have. THAT was the greatest moment of the race.
I love my friends. I love my mom who hung out in Victory park for nearly 3 hours by herself just to cheer me across the finish line. I only have one picture from the day - Lindsey took it with her phone - me - hot mess. Manes - peacock.

Congratulations! Sounds like you had a blast. Keep running :)
we had so much fun. Lindsey was nervous running around. we went to three different places, all wrong, and we HATED the fact that we missed you crossing the finish line.
more than proud of you.
Hey little cousin!
Mom is the one who mentioned that she thought she saw that "little Kerri" had a blog. I had a hard time finding it on the blogger community for some odd ball reason....so I went to plan b and just googled your name. HAHA!
